Building future Wildcats!
Hustlin' Wildcats offers opportunities for players from 3rd Grade through 8th Grade. The goal of the program is to provide basketball skill development along with a fun and memorable team experience. Ultimately, we are successful if some of our players evenutally play on the high school team, but ALL of our youth players become great members of their community.
Schedule:
We have teams of all levels playing 9 months out of the year. Sessions run for approximately 3 months each, beginning in January, April, and October.

Tournaments:
Most of our tournaments are local to the greater Rocklin area. Spring session will typically see one travel tournament to Reno or Lake Tahoe.
Training and Camps:
We offer a Summer camp as well as several opportunities during the year for all levels to train with our high school coaches. The best way to stay up to date on this is to follow our Instagram page.
NICK FRENCH
VARSITY HEAD COACH AND PROGRAM DIRECTOR
I have coached varsity boys basketball since 2004 and have served as the Head Varsity Coach and Director of the Boys Basketball Program at Whitney High School since the 2013 season. My coaching career spans over two decades, beginning at the high school level in 2002.
My biggest coaching influences come from my own mentors. My high school coach at Clovis West High School in Fresno, Vance Walberg, who has coached worldwide, held head coaching roles at Pepperdine and Fresno State, and served as an NBA assistant with the 76ers and Sacramento Kings, played a pivotal role in my life. He taught me not only the game of basketball, but what it truly means to be a team member, a leader, and to push beyond my limits. I've also been blessed to learn from and work alongside remarkable coaches, including the late, great Peter Sharkey; former head coach Steve Perkovich; longtime Clovis North High School head varsity coach Tony Amundsen; and Craig Ashmore (former Head Varsity Coach at Newark Memorial High School and current Assistant Coach at Cal State East Bay).
My coaching philosophy focuses on putting our athletes in the best position to succeed by building a system that highlights their individual talents. Above all, we emphasize four core principles: Play Hard, Play Smart, Stay Together, and Have Fun.
Our culture is the cornerstone of Whitney Basketball. We prioritize the team, the program, and our school over individual accolades, focusing entirely on what's best for the group.
Outside of basketball, I love spending time with my family and friends in the Rocklin community. My wife, Kathy, and I are the proud parents of three boys: Jordan (17, a senior at Whitney), Kaleb (15, a sophomore at Whitney), and Derek (11, a 6th grader at Sunset Ranch Elementary).
